Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounting and financial record-keeping in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia and the accounting principles of the company group.
• Supervision and coordination of day-to-day accounting processes, and ensuring internal control.
• Monitoring data quality and the accuracy of financial information.
• Calculation of VAT and corporate income tax, preparation of declarations, and submission within the deadlines set by regulations.
• Payroll calculation (salary, taxes, vacation pay, sick leave, reports) and preparation of related reports.
• Timely preparation and submission of other tax and statistical reports.
• Preparation of annual reports and cooperation with auditors during the audit process.
• Planning of accounting projects, organization of team work, and process optimization.
• Participation in the development and implementation of accounting policies, as well as improvement of existing processes.
• Cooperation with state institutions and external partners within the scope of competence.

Your profile:

• Higher education in economics, finance, or another equivalent field
• Logical thinking and ability to work in a team (senior level)
• Ability to review, train, and supervise consultants
• Ability to plan consultants’ work, assessing priorities and risks
• Ability to work independently
• Good knowledge of laws and regulations
• Experience in preparing annual reports in cooperation with auditors
• Good technical skills in working with MS Excel
• Highly desirable: knowledge of Horizon and Axapta (D365)
• Knowledge of Latvian and English
• Knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage
