Human Resources Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Why this role matters

The HR Assistant provides essential administrative support to the People team, helping ensure that day-to-day HR operations run smoothly and employees receive a professional and positive experience throughout their employment journey.

What will the role look like

  • Provide administrative support across the employee lifecycle.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation, letters and personnel files.
  • Maintain employee records and update the HRIS with accuracy.
  • Assist with recruitment administration, including interview scheduling, candidate communication and onboarding.
  • Support payroll preparation by maintaining accurate HR records and documentation.
  • Respond to routine employee enquiries and direct more complex matters to the appropriate team members.
  • Assist with HR reporting, audits and compliance activities.
  • Support HR projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes.

What makes you a great fit

Must-Haves

  • 1-2 years' experience in an HR Administration, HR Assistant or similar administrative role within an international organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; experience with an HRIS is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of HR administration and employee lifecycle processes.
  • AI literacy and confidence using digital tools to enhance productivity.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a customer-service mindset.

Good-to-have

  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.
  • Exposure to payroll administration.
  • Knowledge of Cyprus employment legislation.
