Development Technical Manager

Why this role matters

You will be the technical driving force behind our developments, ensuring projects are designed, granted permits, planned, constructed and delivered to the highest standards while balancing quality, time and cost.

What will this role look like?

  • Lead the technical side and coordination of real estate development projects from design and planning through construction and handover.
  • Manage and coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, authorities, and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee the design process, ensuring solutions are practical, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Support permit application and approvals, and technical submissions to relevant authorities.
  • Contribute to procurement activities, including consultant appointments, tender evaluations, contractor selection, and contract administration.
  • Review and assess technical proposals, design changes, value engineering opportunities, and construction methodologies.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks while ensuring projects remain on programme and within budget.
  • Provide technical leadership during construction, working closely with project and site teams to resolve challenges and maintain delivery standards.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and project updates for senior management.

What makes you a great fit?

Must-Have Skills

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred), Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' proven experience in the construction/development industry, with hands-on involvement in the delivery of building projects from design through construction and handover
  • Strong understanding of site operations, construction methodologies, buildability, sequencing, quality control, health & safety requirements, and contractor management.
  • Experience working directly for a contractor, developer, or project management consultancy is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English (Russian language will be an advantage)
  • Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using project management, planning, document control, and reporting tools e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, Primavera etc.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI-powered and digital tools to enhance productivity, reporting, decision-making, and project delivery.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Professional membership or registration with ETEK or an equivalent professional body.
  • Proven Experience in delivering residential, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, or other large-scale development projects.
  • Familiarity with contract administration, procurement processes, and industry-standard contracts (e.g. FIDIC).
