What does a Gameplay Designer do?

• Design and develop innovative and engaging gameplay mechanics.
• Create prototypes and drive iterative development based on playtesting and feedback.
• Work closely with engineers, artists, and other designers to integrate features seamlessly according to the game’s overall vision.
• Have full ownership over a feature area and its delivery from start to finish.
• Help shape metrics and best practices for other designers.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and articulate your design concepts to stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of game design experience, with a focus on gameplay design.
• Familiarity with modern game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine) and scripting tools (e.g., Unreal blueprints, or similar).
• Strong design and analytical skills; defining, prototyping and tweaking mechanics and deep
• systems to reach the desired game experience.
• Ability to effectively articulate ideas and collaborate across disciplines.
• Experience with working in a large (30+ member) development team is a plus.
