Senior AI Designer – AAA Action Game (New IP)

Be part of an extraordinary journey with a team of seasoned industry veterans. Backed by a global publishing powerhouse, we are developing a fast-paced, action game based on a completely original IP. Our teams in Prague, Brno, and Bratislava are seeking a passionate designer with experience of developing AI for a AAA game.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping its foundations.

What does an AI Designer do?

• Design, prototype, and iterate on AI behaviors that support the core pillars of the game.
• Work closely with designers, artists, animators and engineers to turn AI driven enemies into living beings, with fluid movement and vast range of reactions to the player’s actions.
• Implement AI using behavior trees, state machines, and scripting tools.
• Tune enemy behaviors to provide a satisfying challenge across varied scenarios and difficulty levels.
• Ensure AIs stability, so gameplay is testable across game’s development.
• Conduct playtesting, telemetry analysis, and iteration to improve AI performance.
• Collaborate with Level Designers to build thrilling encounters and best practices for their setup.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and articulate your design concepts to stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of game design experience, with a focus on AI design. 
• Strong understanding of combat AI, enemy archetypes, movement behaviors, and group tactics.
• Experience with game engines (Unreal, Unity, or proprietary AI systems).
• Knowledge of behavior trees, and state machines.
• Ability to articulate ideas and collaborate across disciplines.
