Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of databases. The role ensures the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of data that are critical to the organization’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, configuration, and upgrading of database management systems (PostgreSQL)
• Monitoring and optimizing database performance (indexing, SQL query optimization)
• Creating, maintaining, and testing backup and recovery procedures
• Managing database security (access control, data protection)
• Troubleshooting and resolving database issues and errors
• Collaborating with development and IT teams on database design and optimization
• Documenting systems, procedures, and changes
• Monitoring new technologies and best practices in the database field

Required Qualifications and Knowledge:

• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Excellent knowledge of SQL
• Understanding of database performance, scalability, and security
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies
• Knowledge of operating systems (Linux and/or Windows Server)
• Experience with cloud solutions is a plus (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
