Principal Animator

Overview:
As a Principal Animator, you’ll be a key contributor to the creation of high-quality, believable animations. You’ll work closely with the Lead Animator and other departments to execute animation across various aspects of the game, from characters and creatures to gameplay animations and cinematics.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality, realistic animation for characters, creatures, and objects across the game
- Collaborate with design, tech, and cinematic teams to ensure animations are seamless and serve the narrative and gameplay
- Act as a key technical and artistic resource for other animators, providing feedback and guidance on animation techniques
- Contribute to the refinement of animation pipelines and workflows
- Ensure animations meet performance requirements for real-time rendering
- Work on complex animation sequences, including combat, locomotion, and scripted events
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an animator in the game industry, with a focus on high-quality character and creature animation
- Strong proficiency with Maya and other animation tools
- In-depth understanding of human and creature anatomy, along with strong motion analysis skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing project needs
