What are the main responsibilities of the Head of Quality Assurance & Quality Control?

• Lead and develop the QA and QC teams, promoting high standards and accountability.
• Ensure manufacturing in compliance with internal quality procedures and regulatory requirements (FDA / EMA).
• Coordinate daily QA & QC activities. Conduct internal and external audits.
• Lead the Deviation Review Board Meeting.
• Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and implement CAPAs.
• Develop, release and maintain SOPs, WIs, FORMS, BRs, SPECs, Quality Policy, Quality Manual, etc.
• Train operational staff on quality expectations, tools, and best practice. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and in-line process ownership within production.
• Monitor KPIs, generate reports, and provide insights for site-wide performance.

We expect the following skills and experience from you as our future colleague:

• You have solid experience and expertise in QA/QC for biopharmaceutical products.
• You hold a Master’s degree—ideally in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field. If your academic background is outside the sciences, you still demonstrate a strong understanding of scientific principles.
• You bring at least 10 years of QA/QC experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as biotech, pharma, or other FDA/EMA-regulated industries.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of proven leadership and people management experience.
• You are well-versed in GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
• You can showcase your skills in CAPA management, audits, and data-driven continuous improvement through concrete examples.
• You communicate with confidence and approach challenges with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• You are fluent in English and you are ready to be on site with your team.
